It was lovely to welcome supported people, tenants, members and staff along to our 46th AGM recently.
After the chance for a cuppa and a chat in our atrium, we got down to the formal business of reflecting on our performance and achievements over the past year.
We heard presentations from Key's Chairperson, Sheenagh, National TAG Chair and Secretary, Brian and Demilynn, and Key's Chief Executive, Andrea. And, for the first time, members of our tenants' group, the My Home Group.
The My Home Group are an important part of how we make sure we are doing a good job as a landlord. They help us to think about how housing policy and services affect our tenants.
So, it was great to hear from long time tenants, Caroline and Doreen, who have been on the My Home Group since it began. They told us about all the work the group have been involved over the past year, including supporting housing colleagues with the Tenant Satisfaction Survey which we have to do each year.
Between the inputs from TAG and the My Home Group we got a great insight into how people we support and our tenants are at the heart of making us the organisation we are.
On the day we also bid a fond farewell to one our founding board members, Angus Turner. After supporting our board for 4 decades he has decided to take a well earned retirement. Although we are sad to lose him from Key's Board, we are delighted that he will continue his connection with Community Lifestyles' board and some of our working groups.
