Servicing

There are various items in your home that require servicing. It is our responsibility to ensure that this is carried out at the correct time but we also need your help to make this happen.

Gas Servicing

If you have a gas boiler we are legally obliged to service this every year. It is very important as it ensures that your boiler is running safely and efficiently. We will give you at least 7 days notice of when we plan to service your boiler. Please ensure you are able to arrange access for this.

If you are unable to arrange access it is very important that you let the maintenance team, or the contractor, know as soon as possible. We can agree another suitable date with you to ensure that the work is carried out on time.

Other Servicing

The programme also includes servicing of:

  • Emergency Lighting Systems (every 6 months)
  • Sprinkler Systems (every year)
  • Blender Valves (every year)
  • Smoke Detectors (every 2 years)
  • Carbon Monoxide Detectors (replaced every 7 years)
  • Electrical Installations Check (every 5 years)
  • Energy performance certificate (every 10 years)
  • Lifts (minimum every 6 months, some lifts may be more frequent)
  • Hoists (every 6 months)
  • Closomats (every year)
  • Specialist Baths (every 6 months)
  • Specialist Beds (every year)
  • Door Operators (every 6 months)
  • Stairlifts (every year)

Like the gas servicing, we will give at least 7 days notice of the arranged visit and expect that you provide reasonable access when requested. You must advise us as soon as possible if the date is unsuitable and provide us with an alternative.
