Amy Takes to the Stage!

Amy, supported by our Helensburgh team, was celebrating last week following her acting abilities receiving national recognition in the 2019 Learning Disability Awards.
Amy is a member of the 'ShowDowns!' theatre group which is facilitated by national Down's syndrome charity, Downs Syndrome Scotland, who won the 'Creative Communities' award at this year's Learning Disability Awards on Friday. You can find out more about the 'ShowDowns!' here.
The Learning Disability Awards are hosted by SCLD as part of their annual Learning Disability Week activities. The awards recognise the achievements and talents of people with learning disabilities, and others, across a number of categories. Awards are then presented to winners at a glamourous awards ceremony, which this year took place on Friday 17th May in Edinburgh.
