Support Workers and Relief Support Workers
Hours: up to 35
Closing Date: 05-Mar-2021
Due to a range of exciting new service developments, we currently have opportunities for Support Workers and Relief Register Workers across Glasgow.
As a Support Worker you will join our well-established teams, working with people to provide individualised, person centred support to adults and young people who have a range of support needs, including autism and learning disabilities. Successful candidates will have a positive attitude, enthusiasm and a commitment to helping people to live the lives they wish.
On a day to day basis we support people with all aspects of daily living including; personal care, taking care of their home and finances as well as developing and maintaining full and active participation in the community. A commitment to a person-centred approach is essential and experience of working with people with disabilities is desirable although just as important will be having the right values and believe in the capacity that everyone has to contribute to and be full members of their community.
All applicants must be prepared to work flexibly as part of the team to meet the needs of the people who use our service. Support can include work in the evenings and weekends as well as sleepovers and waking nights when required.
Community Lifestyles provides excellent professional supervision, support and training, including access to the SVQ Framework and a chance to really make a difference to people’s lives.
If you would like to get involved in support work but cannot work contracted hours, because you have other commitments, then there are opportunities to join our register of relief workers who provide support based on their availability.
